The 5th of September is celebrated as Teacher’s Day all over India. It is the birthday of the second president of India, Dr. S. Radha Krishnan. Dr. Radha Krishnan was an outstanding teacher before he became the ambassador of India to Russia. He was an ideal lecturer in every way, and set high standards for all the teachers of the country to follow. Thus, his birthday is celebrated as teacher’s Day every year.
Teachers Day was organized by Sulabh International Centre for Action Sociology (SICAS). The program was celebrated in the School premises, on 5th Sep, 2019. The students of Sulabh Public School as well as the students of Vocational Training Centre participated in the program enthusiastically.
The celebration began at 10.30 am in the School’s open ground. The program was lead off with a prayer song sung by the School choir, followed by an innovation inauguration where the chairperson of SICAS, the principal of the School & the teachers offered flowers to a portrait of Dr. Radha Krishnan. All the students of our school take this opportunity to tell the teacher how much they love and respect them. A student then gave the audience, which included both the teachers and the students a peek into the life of Dr. Radha Krishnan through Speech. As the speech concluded, the cultural Program began which included a dance, songs and a small skit through school students and students of Vocational training centre which the significance of teachers was, highlighted Students of class IX presented Guru Vandana. Teachers were given a token of love by the Chairperson and refreshment was served to all.
